My buddy has a Toyota Tundra and his black rubber trim has white spots. Looks like mold. He has scrubbed the trim and it does not come clean, he even tried a little bleach and water mix and it did not come clean. These white spots are located in the black plastic window trim and it is driving him crazy. His truck is black and it sticks out when you are up close. The dealer is of no help and said it just cleans, but he can't remove it short of cutting it out.. I was told to try vinegar and water, but what do you think we should do to clean this bad trim.
 
Experiment on a very small spot at a time. I'm talkin' applicator = q-tip.



Trying vinegar sounds ok. I'd also try a solvent, start with bug n' tar, then move up the ladder of harshness.



You already know scrubbing doesn't work, so it's chemical time.
