What's this purple dragon? And what kind of wheel acid did you use? Diluted? That's a frigging awesome job for 50 bucks...I did about the same for one of my neighbors for about 70 but the interior had extensive work done.

did you use any agitation on the wheels? or was it a spray on hose off deal?

Nice job for $50. Probably worth more but oh well.

the wheel acid was diluted 3:1 and the purple dragon, which we use at our body shop, was diluted 1:1. i got the wheel acid, its actually wire and mag cleaner, from pro finish, and the purple dragon, a rubber cleaner/degreaser, from pro finish as well. it says A.I.M. on the bottles. it works really good. i had to agitate the wheels just because the wheel was black on the insides. if they werent this bad, ill usually dilute 5:1 and spray on, hose off and it works really good

True story!

How did UPP go on/off with an unprepped surface?

The trick is to rub really really hard. :D

Looks good!! I wouldn't expect it to look like that after just being waxed... :xyxthumbs

is that wheel acid safe on all wheel surfaces? that seems like the product thats a step up from p2s gel that i really need for the PITA wheels

i dont think i would use it on chrome wheels unless they are really bad, it says not safe on glass but thats about it. i would also dilute it prob 6:1 or even more for chrome wheels. we use it at work and with our pressure washer, there is defintly no scrubbing needed at all

can any1 give a link to a acid base wheel cleaner that was mentioned above? i tried searching but i'm not having much luck. I know i wouldnt let acid touch my chrome SUV wheels but on some of the messed up alloys i get all the time i could use a product thats a step up from a2z

as for gsrstilez- the 4*UPP went on/off like nothing. it left the paint smooth and a nice shine to it. but if you look closely at the paint, you can see all these tiny little rust spots, shes in desperate need of a claying

it took me about an hour and half to do this. i cleaned the wheels, washed it, dried the car and jams, applied UPP, vaccumed and cleaned inside, did the windows and wiped off the UPP
