Questions On Pro Circular Polishers

Best Orbital Polish/Sander im stuck i dont want to spend $200 on a Polisher i dont want a dual action i need to remove swirl marks etc i seen this its $99 Its a Vector VEC236 this is the link tell me what you think when i told some friends there like dude $99 that thing will die in 2 weeks but the polisher looks really soild and the people at classic motoring accessories online said it was the quitest polisher they ever used here is the link tell me what you think http://store.yahoo.com/classic-motoring/veprcipo.html

Well, I've never used that particular unit. It would probably be O.K. for occasional home use, but you never know. If you are going to be using it often, and for long periods of time, I would probably go with a name brand unit like DeWalt, Makita, etc. With power tools you get what you pay for.
 
ic what is the cheapest you have seen the dewalt and mikata for the Vector look fine im ust gonna be useing it ocassionally for home im not gonna use it everyday or anything after i get my swirls out i probley wont use it to often
 
Cheapest I've seen the Makita is around $150, and I think Harbor Freight now sells the Dewalt for $150 also (used to be $180)
 
Which polisher do you use the vector still looks like a good buy i know its not a really popular brand name but it has a good rep at classic motoring accessories anf for $99 bucks it sounds pretty good
 
I have a DeWalt DW849. The Vector might be OK, but it's still new on the scene. It's virtually untested, might be good, might be bad. Just don't know at this point.
