Questions on interior detailing

I'm looking for some different options when it comes to applying protectant to my dash and interior door pannels. Right now I usually use a cotton cloth to apply the protectant and remove the excess. Usually this will end up causing static and leaving lint behind which really looks like crap on an all black interior. What can I use to apply the prortectant with and avoid this?

Also, are there any good interior and dash dusters out there? I've used the Caliofornia Dash Duster before and I thought it sucked, it left red lint all over. Thanks for the help.

For applicaton use a Microfiber applicator pad and spray on the pad and apply.

For dusting I use a house duster, the ones that have thousands of little plastic hairs and if you shake them they generate static to pull dust away. They work great, don't scratch and they're cleanable so if you dedicate them to the interior they'll last forever. They work great in the engine bay too, just get a separate one for the engine.
