Questions before applying Sonax Polymer Net Shield

I've been reading up on SPNS and want to try it out. I have a few questions that I hope some of you fellow members can help me with.

1) Can SPNS be applied on bare paint? (Dawn wash, decon, clay)
2) Will SPNS last longer if applied over a polish?
3) Am I safe to assume an AIO polish will hinder the durability of SPNS?
4) Current polishes I have at hand, BF GEP, UPPP. Will these work well with SPNS? If no, which one would you recommend?

Thanks in advance. :)

ok on bare paint, ok on polish, but a polish is not supposed to stay on, it is a treatment to get the car paint smooth, so ISP it, and then use net shield....

using bfgep will be fine. uppp does leave behind a primer more geared for using upgp afterwards, but will probably be ok. both are non abrasive. personally, i like bfgep.

Thanks for your help. I have a better understanding now.

Will SPNS also be an effective sealant for headlights? I am currently using DP headlight sealant that came in the restoration kit. I'd rather use SPNS every 6 months than DP every 3 months if possible.

I am sure that SPNS can be applied to plastic, but most products last significantly shorter on plastics. DP was designed for use on plastic covers, and will likely outlast SPNS on that material. You can always give a shot and see what works best for you. :bigups

Thanks for your help, Todd. I think I'd rather stick to DP since it was engineered for such applications. :bigups
