questions about mach 1

hi,

I will be trading in my 96 gt for a black 2003 mach 1 and I have some questions about detailing it. When polishing is it a good idea to tape off the decals and is it safe to put wax or a sealant on them. The wind spoiler is not painted, I think it is plastic should I put any dressing on it and what would be a good dressing for the chin spoiler and the shaker.

Congratulations on the Mach :up . Sweet car. On the rear spoiler of my wife's mustang, I apply polish and wax/sealant along with the rest of the car. Depending on what type of polish and sealant you use, you may not need to tape off your decals. Again, with the air dam/chin spoiler, I usually apply polish and wax/sealant. For the hood shaker, consider using a dressing such as Poorboys Trim Restorer or something similar.



BTW, on my wife's black mustang I like using Einszett Metallic Polish and Glanz Wax. My wife likes for me to use Black Fire products. Good luck.
