Polish will work to smooth out the clear coat, can remove swrils and gives luster to the finish. What you are doing is setting up the CC for wax or sealant!

Glazes are for making the car shinny buy offer little to no protection. Its used on show cars for that wet look, I use it on cars before waxing to get a deeper wet looking shine
