Question on when to wax an aftermarket car product..

I have just finished applying paint/clearcoat to a lip spoiler which is for my bimmer..I have used the rubbing compound and now I want to polish and wax it for a deep black glossy shine..



My question is how long do I have to wait before applying the polish and wax??

Use a finishing polish, glaze it regularly to provide some protection, then wait 45 days before waxing.
