question on pb polish hazyness

I just did my first couple of cars last weekend using poorboys pro polish, and it was acting weird. When i would try to buff it off, it would leave a hazy/smudgy look. It looked like i was just pushing the polish around on the paint when i was trying to rub it off. I am not talking about the white hazy/streaky that is there right after you put the polish on, but the transparent, 3dish haze marks. I used a 100% cotton shop towel to apply, and a microfiber to wipe it off. It was a new car, and I was working in the sun so the paint was fairly hot. It was not from residue on the microfiber because i tried switching towels. Anyone know why this was happening, or what i was doing wrong?

Either too much product or not allowint the product to dry.

How was the "shop towel" and the MF for that matter washed and dried prior to using?
 
both were washed in a wash machine as if they were clothing, and dried in dryer
(the shop towel wasnt really a shop towel, it has only been used for detailing)

No fabric softner, no dryer sheets right?

If dryer sheets are used in the laundry do you wipe the dryer down before drying your "paint only" towels?

Just trying to cover all angles.
 
no fabric, but i do use dryer sheets. should i not use dryer sheets? i do not wipe the dryer down. I found a picture on DC that kindof illustrates the problem i had. my hazyness certainly wasnt as big or defined as the ones in the pic from the rotary, but similar; it was that clear, hazy, 3dish, have to look at the right angle in the sun smudgyness.
 
I would say first don't use dryer sheets, it leaves fabric softener on them which in other cases would cause steaking...you must also work the product thoroughly until it almopst disappears and dries completely....if you sawa it moving it around you should continue working and only in back and forth motions, unlike what you see in the posted picture and do small sections. Also if you leave holigrams, it's usually because of two reasons...the cloth or pad used to apply was too abrasive or you still have product left on the vehicle which is being reflected by light, either sun or indoors.
Suggestions: go over the car again with a softer cloth or mf and use very little in back and forth motions, go over the car with a damp mf cloth or use some QD to remove excess product.
Also the use of SSR1 or PwC afterward will also remove those types of marks....last suggestion, call me:)
