Question on Menzerna Products

Hey fellas, hope everyone is having a good weekend :heelclick I decided to do a little detailing today, so I hit my truck with PO106ff and a white pad using a PC. I normally use IP with an orange pad, followed by FPII with a white pad, but I didn't have a ton of time and wanted to try it this way. This was my first time really working with the PO106ff, and I'm fairly pleased. A lot of gloss and good working time, but kind of greasy to remove.

I'm using FTG for the first time and I'm wondering how I should apply it. I tried it by hand, but it was kind of a pain and I have a lot of truck to do. All I have are white, orange and yellow pads for the PC. I know it's not ideal, but can I apply it using a white pad? What speed should I use?

Secondly, should I wipe the truck down prior to applying the glaze? As I mentioned, the PO106ff was pretty greasy and I don't know if this will affect the glaze. I haven't decided what to do as far as LSPs go. The PO106ff didn't touch most of the medium scratches (as I expected), and if the glaze doesn't help much I may skip the FMJ and just throw some Natty's Blue on to hold me over until I can do it the right way. Thanks for any help!

What is FTG? If its a glaze then you should use a black, blue or red. White pad is a polishing pad with some cut.

Yes, FTG is a glaze made by Menzerna. I know I should use a no-cut pad, but I'm thinking that white may be alright in a pinch?

There's a good likelihood you will induce swirls if you use a white pad to spread a non-abrasive glaze. Your best bet is to pick up a foam applicator pad at your local auto body supply.
