Here are my favorites:
1) Husky Floor Liners
These are great for catching all of the slop. Whereas other floor mats are flat, these are custom made for each car/truck and follow the contours of your car's floor about 3" up the center hump. They also have a ridge down the door side so nothing leaks out. They arent all that thick and don't have ridges, but then again they don't need them. If you get Huskys, be sure you get the FLOOR LINERS, and NOT the mats (they make both and the mats are flat). I'm just changing over to Huskys this weekend.

2) Catch-All Carpeted Floor Mats
I have these in my truck right now, and they are comparable to the Huskys, only these are lined with carpet (they follow the contour of the floor like the Huskys). They are custom made for each individual car style. I've had a set in for about 3 months now and there is no wear or pilling on the carpet. They would do great in winter if you don't mind the carpet getting yucked up.

The Catch-All mat looks a little pilled, but that's because I just washed it. The fabric is holding up really well.
Cabelas online sells both of these, but you may want to check them out locally at a custom truck shop. I'm sure they could order them for your car, an you could see what they look like before you buy.
Here is the link to Cabelas (it's the cheapest online source I've found for the Catch-Alls) click on the Automotive/ATV store link at the left, then choose Floor Mats/Cargo protection:

BTW, the Catch-Alls are called "Custom Carpet Floor Mats" on this page. They also have several other brands (Including Weather Tech).
