hi i was reading up on PC and got recommended to start using it



i was just wondering where a good kit might be? with the pads and all

You can get an SFX PC + Pad kit, or a DAS PC + Pad kit from Autopia. I'm based in the UK, where the PC isn't readily available, and pretty much all the PCs come through Autopia over here - lightning fast, excellent service too, and customer care that is second to none so I'd highly recommend. :2thumbs:

I've been doing a ton of research with regards to pricing. You are better off to get the machine at a tool supplier (Lowe's has the 7336 for $109) and then get the pads seperate. I actually made my first order this afternoon. I bought all my pads and polishes, etc. from Autogeek. There is a 15% off code good through Thursday (code is "moveit") plus you get two free microfiber towels if you spend $75. This code is also good at Pinnaclewax.com, and you also get free shipping on that site for spending $75. Then I will get the machine at Lowes. All together the machine, pads and backing plate will cost me about $185. The kit at Autogeek with the same stuff (plus two towels) is $190 plus shipping (like $30). And I found out the 15% is not valid with buffers, so you wouldn't get 15% off on the kit anyway.
 
For your first time, and for want of great results on multiple colors, etc.



Visit www.pinnaclewax.com , go to the PC sections, buy the HK 7424 PC kit/with pads. This is a great starter kit at a reasonable price and free shipping.



Then, shop around, but the OC/OP are well liked and get the job done, while finishing down very well, even on black. Follow with your favorite sealant or wax. Take a look at the Menzerna twins, as they are well respected, but aren't quite as versatile as the Optimum products.



I like Poorboy's Natty's Blue, Collinite, Pinnacle Souveran, 3M Liquid Show Car, Meg's #16, 26, as well as others for LSP's.



I would also like to suggest that you pick up a MF Starter pack, your Optimum products, and any Poorboy's or Clearkote products from Scott @ Specialty Motoring Products (www.specialtymotoring.com). Cheapest and best MF anywhere, as well as fast service and great customer support.
