question about metallic silver paint

hi guys



i had a panel repainted and cleared due to minor damage. ever since ive noticed a slight black cloud effect. its hard to describe. looking at the panel staight on, its fine. but looking at it on an angle, i can see these black clouds on it.



its not something a normal person can see. the only person thats been able to see it was my PDR guy. he said its normal due to the metallic paint, and that its never 100% perfect



is he right? any point in trying to get the body shop to re-do it? (honda authorized shop)

It all depends. Metallic silver is one of the hardest paints to match on a car. I am not sure what it looks like but it might be orange peel or over spray. I would take it back to the shop that painted it and have them look at it.

Actually I have the same effect on the hood of my Silver Metallic Integra...I think it came outta the factory like that cause its been that way ever since I got the car.
