Question about etched water spots

I own a 2007 Honda Civic LX that has dark blue paint. This car is my daily driver and is either sitting under my carport at home, or in the parking lot at work. Since the car was new, I have applied a coat of one of the following about every three months: Epic Prima, Meguiar's NXT 2.0 and Rejex. For the last several months I have been noticing a lot of H2O spots on the hood, roof and trunk. I used Clay Magic Blue yesterday and have determined that these spots are etched into the clear coat. I tried applying some ScratchX by hand on a small section of the trunk, but much to my disappointment it did not remove the etched spots.

I am tempted to try Klasse AIO to see if it will remove some of the spots, but wonder if it will do any better than ScratchX? I don't own a polishing machine, but am guessing that using a machine is the only way to remove the spots.

So my questions are as follows:

1) Is Klasse AIO the best product to remove etched water spots by hand?

2) Should I just give up and purchase a polishing machine?

3) Is it realistic to think that a daily driver that is kept outside will ever be able to have a finish that is free of water spots?

I'll kick this up for you.

Claying will help remove the surface deposits, if still present try a 50/50 mixture of vinegar. If still present most likely your spots are etched into the CC and leveling is required. This may be accomplished by hand, lots of hours and exertion but not probable. It's possible that they can be removed w/ AIO and a damp polish pad via PC if the spots aren't completely in the CC. Since you're snooping around Autopia you probably won't be satisfied until this is corrected. Research DA polishers (PC, UDM or Flex) and polishes.

If anyone else reads/replies you'll get a host of LSP suggestions to help diminish the possibility of spotting (Collinite, DG 105 et al.)
