Question about Auto Armor sealant..and how to remove..

I am going to detail a friends car (he has a Black 2003 Subaru LL Bean Outback), and he said he has Auto Armor sealant on it, and hates it. He wants me to do a full exterior detailing before winter.

I have never heard of this product, has anyone else? Will using polish (I was going to use 3M finesse-It II) take off this sealant? I was going to follow it up with Klasse AIO and P21S. What do people recommend for a long lasting wax? I've heard that P21S does not hold up too well.

Thanks for the info and help!

If he had it put on back in 2003 its already long gone. My dad used to have this crap put on cars when I was a kid. Its just a sealant like all the rest of them and it even specifies that this "booster" needs to be applied once a year, but you know you'll never have to wax again

Just treat it like any other detail, if any is still on there any polish will remove it.

I remember Auto Armor! My dad had it on his 1987 Ford Aerostar. Nothing more than a sealant with TEFLON! If it hasn't worn down by now, the FI-2, or any polish for that matter, should remove what's left.

We had a 1987 Ford Aerostar too lol, with Auto Armor ;) It wasn't until he got his LS400 in 98 that he gave up on the Auto Armor.
