next weekend i doing a 92 camry LE, maroon, and swirled to hell. im planning on going 83 with sonus green, then 80 with sonus green, then topping with nxt on a sonus blue polishin pad. problem is i only have one green pad and one blue pad...i know ur not supposed to use 2 products on a pad without cleaning so what should i do. i was thinkin after i use the 83 an can jus brush all the caked polish off with horsehair brush and start again with the 80 on the same pad. if there is a better method or mixing the two like this is dangerous, please let me know. basically just need a quick way to prep pad for new set of polish, thanx

ps. does that combo sound good and will i need another polish after the 80 or should the paint be ready for a lsp after it

First of all, I'd use a yellow pad if the swirls are indeed as bad as you make them sound.

As for your question...

I would wash the pad, squeeze out most of the water, and then spin-dry the pad on the PC...speed 4 should do it just fine. Then you'll have a clean pad that's nearly dry to use with #80.

Tensors,

Yes, that combo sounds good. Whenever I'm short on pads, I just wash the pad that I need, shake the water out, let it sit in the sun and start detailing the wheels, interior, etc. The pad dries pretty quickly if you have some sunlight, and even if it's a bit damp, you can set your pc on 1 and most of the water will sling off.
