This was a "Quick Correction". While there are still defects and I wasn't able to follow up with a polish, I got as much as I could done within time and budget (which was a trade of detailing for photography). This is MahCBCNe46's car.
ONR Wash
Sonax FE
IPA Wipe Down
D300/MF Cutting Pad
HD Poxy
No interior on this, strictly paint work and deep cleaning the rims. Hopefully once he fixes a few issues, he'll let me do a full correction on it some day. I was also able to give him a few paint readings, which determined the passenger side had to of been repainted at some time. He was unaware of that, but the paint readings were much higher and there were a few noticeable flaws in the painting. That's the benefit of Quenga Detailing. Even if I don't do correction, paint readings come for free for your piece of mind. Now he knows a little bit more about his car - and detailing since we did chat almost the whole time! Shared a few tricks and techniques with him - most detailers charge for that, but you can pick my brain for free. I love what I do.
You can see me in the reflection getting the ONR bath ready
After the basic wash. I don't typically do foam baths or try to get everything in the first shot. I take off the heavy and easy stuff with ONR, then I focus on any remaining stubborn spots. They helps minimize the temptation to "scrub" a spot off when washing, then capture larger particles of dirt in the mitt. If it doesn't come off with the initial ONR wash, it get's special attention for being naughty...
Under the lights...
I cut the trunk in three to test which 1-step would be the best. Either an AIO polish/glaze, a light polish with HD Polish, or simply the greatest gift to detailing, D300/MF Cutting disc. Sometimes the MF disc can cause too much haze, so I usually don't do it unless I'm correcting and polishing the paint. But, the BMW held up to it well and it offered better correction with comparable polish. Love this stuff!
Say Goodbye my swirly friends...Just ONE pass!
Say no to hard water spots...
These have to be some of the coolest photos of Sonax I've ever seen!
Who needs a pressure washer? Got my eco-friendly Nomad!
Favorite wheel cleaner of all time.
BOOM!
Not perfect, but hopefully he'll want FULL correction later
. You don't always have to spend a lot of money on a full detail to make a significant improvement!
