QEW + DACP on my doorstep!!!

They arrived today, which means if the weather holds out here in NJ I can begin the swirl removing on my 99 civic. YEAH!!!



I must admit though, the anxiety of it is killing me, I cant take the waiting. I am worried the swirls wont come out, although they dont look too bad. They appear light, but what do I know :nixweiss I wont be a happy camper if this doesnt work, this is only my second time using my PC on my car, but was successful the last time getting out some minor swirls.
 
DACP worked wonders for my truck, I used DACP with a Meg's polishing pad, then #9 with a polishing pad and finished it with my wax and came out swirl free. Good luck!:up
 
If you did it the first time with success, what makes you think you won't be successful now ? Just take your time.

btw: '99 EBP SIs are sweet :)

I dont plan to mess around, I am going to crank my PC up to 5.5 or 6 with a LC yellow cutting pad and the DACP and go to town. I will try to get some before and afters. I think my plan will read like this:

Wash, QEW

DACP

AIO

NXT
 
If you plan on using DACP with a cutting pad you will probably have to step down to something lighter to remove the micro-marring that combo will produce.
 
If you break DACP down all the way and work it properly it wont leave any hazing :xyxthumbs



As a matter of fact, I will probably skip AIO and go right to NXT
 
If you apply AIO with that white pad, it'll (usually) be enough. Or (better) you can go again with white pad & DACP and follow w/ a finishing pad with either AIO or NXT.

The first couple of times I used my PC (with 3M SMR) I was afraid to turn it up. Now I work the polish in at 3 or 4 for a couple of minutes, then crank it up to 5 or more. I've used DACP without getting marring, but I was using a white polishing pad.
 
Hey folks, don't mean to hijack the thread but I am questioning my pc'ing technique. How much pressure should you use on the PC. If apply light pressure the thing not only vibrates but rotates, if I apply heavy pressure the rotation stops and it just vibrates.

Yeah, you might want to start your own thread, not to be a **** or anything but it has NOTHING to do with DACP or what I was talking about....:down
