QD vs. Spray wax

Are Quick detailer and spray as you dry wax based on the same principle. I know wax is to seal and protect but some of the QD's have Carnuba in them so it would kinda work the same??????



QD might have some more reflective elements added but I'm not sure

They are usually not the same.



Spray wax is usually for a cleaned surface and actually puts a good barrier down. Not as thick a layer as putting on liquid or paste wax but a thicker layer than a quick detailer with carnauba.



Quick detailers have lubricants in it to help safely remove dust on the surface. Some contain carnauba but don't put down a thick enough coat to be considered a coat of wax. It is more just to help prolong the coat of wax you already have on the surface.

Eagle One's Wax-As-U-Dry is diluted wax designed to be sprayed onto a washed and rinsed car. It is not designed for lubricity purposes. A quick detailer usually can be used on a dusty surface, and several QD's contain carnauba or polymers.

Hey Clinton, I notice you post a lot of your questions in the Pro Detailer forum. I realize you have paying customers so you are a "pro detailer", but a lot of your threads aren't about "pro detailer issues", which is what this forum is supposed to be about.



For a question like this, a post up in the Detailing or AU forum would give you much better exposure - I skip over most of the threads in this forum because I can't say much about detailing as a business. :nixweiss I just kinda read this thread at random....
