QD Use After Waxing

Is there any need to allow the wax to "cure" before using the QD? I normally wax my vehicle in the morning, and I've been told that using a QD within 24 hours will remove some of the wax. It would be nice to remove the slight dust that accumulates during the day. Is this correct? If not, how much time should be allowed if any?
