QD Question

I recently detailed my car. It's dirty again now so I plan on washing it over the next couple of days.

When I detailed, I sealed with Meg's #21. What is a good QD I can use that will work well with #21? Are there any other steps you take for just a wash, other than wash, dry, and some QD? Thanks!

apply a spray wax (mothers fx, duragloss, etc..) after each wash, it will extend your wax protection...

For OTC products:

Meguiar's Final Inspection

Duragloss Fast, Clean and Shine

Non-OTC:

FK 425

Quik-shine

When using #21, I'd personally look for the Final Inspection.

final inspection +1

its like the regular MG quick detailer on crack. . .

heheh, that may have been an exageration . . but it sounds cool . .

Thanks, I'll see if I can find some Final Inspection after work today. Will somewhere like Autozone, Advance, or O'Reilly's carry it?

I didn't see any Final Inspection at Autozone or O'Reilly's. Anyone got any other suggestions?

Hmm, well for OTC, the selection of really good QDs is going to be limited. If you have a CarQuest or NAPA around, go for the Duragloss FC&S, a really fine QD product for enhancing shine and slickness. Also, any of the Mother's products you see locally will generally be good quality, and I have heard good things about Turtle Wax Platinum Ultra Gloss, although I admit I have not used it myself. Might do a search for it here, as I seem to recall a few others really liking it. In addition to what I recommended earlier, those are really about all I'd touch for OTC... The DG is really my favorite though.

Regards,

Mike
