qd on windows?

Do people use their qd to clean their glass? Since most qd's have silicone I was wondering if using a glass cleaner or using spray & wipe would be a better option?

I used Adam's DS and a PakShak WW towel on my windows. They came out streak free and very slick to the touch.:D

If the glass is dirty I use a glass cleaner, if the glass is only slightly dirty or I am just refreshing a recent wash I would use a QD apart from on the windscreen

I've used PB's S&W, S&G, and Clearkote QS on windows with good results. If the windows are very dirty I either wash the car or clean them with Stoners IG or S&W (depending on how dirty they are) before S&G or QS.

I've been so pleased with the results of those two QD's on my windshield I may never use RainX again.

After a wash I usually use a QD. The other day I used S&G and was really pleased. I'll grant it isn't supposed to have many cleaners but it worked well. Possibly the use of the mf cleans more than the QD.

I like S+W (50/50 with water) for windows. It cleans off dirt etc. well, and buffs without streaking. It can even be used on warm/in the sun glass!!

I've also used other qd's on windows as I do the rest of the car, and they usually work well enough, if there isn't much grime/bug guts, but I have avoided using the qd's with wax, as many of them warn not to use on glass.

I use a QD to do the inside windows too.

I find that if I use a QD on the inside and outside, I can usually get the windows streak free and there is this awesome optical clarity. When I look through the glass, images get brighter, more focused and crisper.

Try it. Do your windows with a QD. Then open the door, look ahead above the door and then bend down a bit and look ahead through the glass. It's a look window cleaners don't provide.

Just QDd the X with Last Touch, since I read this post earlier I tried it on the glass. It streaked alot, but that could have been because it's was 43 degrees, it does look alittle bit cloudy too. Will try again when it's warmer outside.

I've been using QS for quick touch-ups on both the exterior and the interior glass. I can clean my glass in just a few minutes. It works really well and leaves a little bit of protection behind, too.
