QD in SUN???

errr.. just a quick question.. QD -ing is a no no in the sun correct?.. also.. it seems as though the california car duster is supposed to be used when the car is cold rite?.. thanx again

There's nothing wrong with detailing under the sun, as long as the temperature is reasonable. Spraying QD on a hot surface is asking for trouble, though. Same applies to the CCD.
 
The only QDs that I've had sucess with not streaking when the finish is hot is Megs FD and Z6. Most of the cheapies I've tried, which were actually more expensive than the FD, did more harm visually than good.
 
well, i can tell you that i didnt have very much success trying to QD in the hawaiian sun. it was in the afternoon, about 2:00, and i was QDing my aunty's roof (which is black). basically, the places that didnt really have a lot of QD, the small droplets, just seemed to melt rite onto the paint. however, it wasnt hard to take off at all. i just had ti spray more. QDing a black surface at 2:00 PM in hawaii is NOT a good idea...
