Hi

I know ONR and other rinseless washes are great when one doesn't have time, or facilities to use a lot of water.

What I was wondering though was if one has time and water, why would one use ONR instead of a regular car wash, ie are there reasons that ONR outperforms a regular wash product like Meguiars Gold Class (cheap and easily available).

I am purely looking at application as a car wash, not as a QD/clay lube etc.

Thanks

AFIK ONR had more lubricants as well as some super scientific term that means it attracts dirt to bond to but also repels it for when it's on your paint--with that said, it promotes less marring and more efficient work as you move along--ONR also softens water so you don't have to use a grit gaurd--just try not to swish around the bottom of the bucket when you work.

ONR is usually much quicker and efficient than using a normal wash solution when the car is very low on contamination. High lubricity as well

what's your def of low contamination? because I used it on my filthy BMW (sigh parents parked it under what I called one of my blocks 'doomsday trees') and though it didn't take out stains(to be fair CLAYBAR didn't take them out either) the loose dirt was gone.

If your water is really hard...ONR is great since you can wipe off immediately makes it easier for you to avoid waterspotting

Unlike traditional wash...the lubricants in ONR cushions between your mitt against dirt...Which is why you won't get marring issues with it ... So it's always a good idea to add 1 ounce of ONR since it will add the cushioning to your traditional wash... If not mistaken optimum label it as water retention ... cmiiw

The easy answer is no hoses to mess with! What a time saver and not a chance of nicking the paint with the hose.
