Why do consumers ask you to detail/solve their problem pay scant attention to your suggestions and then proceed to tell you how it should be done. Pulling my hair!

Because even commercials for pharmaceutical commercials us to "Ask you doctor for..." or "Tell your doctor..." People like that are a red flag to me. There are those who are just ill-informed, but then those who are control freaks. The former can usually be educated fairly easily while the latter I start looking to walk away.
Find out what they do for a living and start telling them how they should do their job. It probably won't take long for them to get the hint.

Or hear in a commercial, or "I have this friend who has, etc, etc, etc", the list goes on and on.
That "friend" usually owns a 3 year old Prius and runs it through a brush wash car wash, applies by hand once a year some Turtle Wax, etc.
They walk among us, they breed with regularity, and their population increases by huge numbers each year.
