I made a mistake by applying Pinnacle Vinyl Protectant on my convertible top. It looked fantastic, until I drove in the rain. :eek: Thats when it all dripped down everywhere!! I have used 303 in the past but was wondering if that is a good product for a top or if there is anything better??

The original solvent or carrier is water for the PDMS and therefore the rain desolved the dressing that was attached to the vinyl.

Here is a little trick to reduce that , keeping in mind that all dressings are just that, a dress you put on a material to make it look a little better for a short time.

Put on a light coat, let it almost dry and then buff it dry with a towel. This "sets" the resin, don't care what name is on the bottle, all the PDMS dressings are basic, just different resin content.

:cool:

Bret and I put 23 manhours into this S65 a few weeks ago. I think it was near 9p by the time we left.

nice turn arounds on those black beauties... now i don't feel so bad knowing that it does take many hours to do a full correction. with my old plumbers back i have to do my cars in sections... hood and front fenders one day, doors and top the next and finally trunk and rear fenders...whew... i be tired and sore too.

I do remember you telling me about these and WOW is what I can say, Awesome correction an all of them, have a safe trip back.........:clap:

Nice work Bryan and it's also nice to see you've been busy. Love those 50/50 shots.

Looks like you guys keep BMW's in the family!

Bryan, you and Bret are the Detailing Masters !!!

Such beautiful, careful, work on those messed up rides !!!

I have never tried a L/C black pad with 205, but now you have me thinking I need to do that more often.

Congratulations on such beautiful work - the owners have to be just stunned!!!

Thanks for sharing !!

Hey Bryan/Bret, you've been busy! Here in the KC area, the detailing business has really slowed down... same story every year. April to October I can't keep up with it... November to March, I can't BUY a detail job!

Nice work!!!:clap::drool5::D

the Lexus I am sure was really smooth as they have one of the best O.E. finishes imo.

If not The Best ^......Whats up with that? Anyone else noticed this? What is Toyota,Urrrh I mean Lexus using to Spray there cars with. I wish every other manufacture would take heed

Thanks Camo! I usually start out on a door for my test panel. Tape it off half way and polish it out. If the client is home, I try and show him how it will look.
