I don't remember if I had cleared off bird "residue" from that spot or not prior to this, but I just noticed it the other day. I'd think I'd've noticed it earlier if it had been there, but I don't have any real explanation for it.

Any ideas on what's the matter there and how to fix it? The spot is smoother than the area around it, and it seems like the clearcoat's been "worn" away on that spot, but not knowing much about anything, can't say for sure...

TIA :up

I was afraid of that... Thanks.

I guess I need to try to see about getting that spot covered back up before trying to get the car cleaned up....

Another trip down to Montgomery, AL. Its just 1hr 45 mins from my place so no big deal.

This F360 has been going thru a major service including some transmission work at the shop. They just about have it sorted out. The rear bumper cover was still removed and was polished on a few saw horses.

Paint only process:

QEW wash.
Clay with QEW as lube.

Some areas where wetsanded with Megs unigrit 2000 paper to remove deeper RIDS.

M105/surbuf pad/G110v2
QEW wash to remove dust.
M205/black LC classic flat pad/G110v2.
Z6 wipedown.
Blackfire Wet Diamond sealant.
Zaino Z8 to finish.

The horz surface where very dusty from sitting in the shop so long.

The shops mechanic was kind enough to remove the emblems

Some nice RIDS and other defects:

Just a few of the areas that I wetsanded. 8 areas in total.

Always good to keep checking the thickness with a PTG when wetsanding:

Finals:

Here are a few pics of a Ducati Desmosedici rr. Its a street version of Ducati's Moto GP bike. Approx 230hp and only 350 lbs.

Wow, stunning! Nice work Bryan.

I always get a little charge out of seeing you guys with experience simply take a wetsand effort to a freakin' Ferrari. The implied confidence in knowing exactly what you're doing and the inate understanding of the physical results expected when you're done is truly inspirational.

This guy's collection almost looks like the Southern version of Ryan and Todd's Buffing Adventure! Looks like a great client Bryan and he obviously has the right guy doing the work.

Awesome work Bryan!!!! The Ducati is really a super bike for the street, AMAZING power to weight ratio. It is the McLaren F1 of street driven motobikes!

SWEET

Nice car and nice bike. I see you only used the Surbuf and the G110v2 to remove the sanding, can you list your method. This could be useful to me as I have a couple marks on my Truck I want to try sanding and will be purchasing a G110v2 to go along with my PC. Thanks.

Too cool Bryan... GREAT job too!:notworthy:

Ferrari's are so much fun to work on.

NART Blue and Tour de France blue are two very similar colors. NART has warm greenish reflections and TdF has cooler violet reflections. That's the only way I can tell them apart.

Beautiful work Bryan...

Thanks Pat!

Thanks Indy! Have a look at this thread. Then ask any questions you have.

Once again Bryan, you show why you da man!

Thanks BMW. All I can do is try.

Thanks RR! The 612 they have is TDF. Whenever I get to do that one, hopefully I can get some pics together of the two.

Top Job Bryan

Thats such a beautiful car :money:

Thanks Flash!

Looks awesome, Bryan. I'm sure the owner was thrilled with the results. I love that color, totally different than your normal Ferrari.

Great work as always!! :wizard:
