I used my new PC today to polish my windshield with Zaino glass polish. It was waaaaaaaay easier than doing it by hand. The PC is incredibly balanced. I used one hand for most of the job. Nice results, put on a layer of Z-2 (by hand) and it's done.

Now with nothing else to detail, I did a QD with Crystal Mist and an MF towel. It looks pretty good, but still see that slight haze. I was thinking about just putting an MF bonnet on the PC and buffing it dry to bring up the luster. Does this make any sense?? Or could this be harmful to the finish?

BTW its currently Klassed with one coat of Souveran

Is it possible to Detail a house like a car?

I hate when I am done detailing. Nothing left to do but finish beer and stare!

Sure, I detail the heck out of my parents house.

I clean windows and mirrors with EF Clear Vision and MF. I vacumm all the carpeting with my Hoover Windtunnel. The shower wall gets Klasse AIO every 4 months with PC. All the metal fixtures, both fridges and both stoves get AIO also. Use OG Sho Off on the Italian cabinets and bathroom vanity. Vinylex on TV case, and Clear Vision on the screen.

MT's to dust everything.

There is also other stuff I do besides clean cars and houses....like school, and stuff.

I think I may now wax my house!

I need to get a good clear coat on it first. Anyone know any good auto painters interested in painting a house with PPG's finest?

This one was done at a parking garage in Midtown.

Client wanted full correction on the paint, the remainder of the clear bra removed and basic interior detail.

The client recently had a GT3 RS front nose clip installed. He wanted the clear bra removed from the following areas: hood, front fenders, mirrors, door ends/handles and aft wheel well sections.

Client had told me that there was not a water faucet in site so I brought plenty of water in my zaino buckets with the lids installed and two 5 gallon jugs that I picked up from US plastics a while back.

New tires are going on this coming week, so the client said don't worry about those.

Process:

QEW wash
Clear bra removed with an assist from my VX5000 steamer.
Adhesive left from the edges of clear bra removed with 3M adhesive remover.
Clay
Straight IPA wipe down.
M105/Surbuf 7" pad/G110 V2
M205/Black LC flat pad/G110 V2
QEW wash again to remove dust.
BFWD
Z8 to finish.
QEW wash wheels.

Interior
Thorough vacuum
Interior wiped down with cockpit premium
All leather got Zaino Z9/10.
Glass clean with IG.

Excellent work.........!!

Excellent job Bryan, that Porsche looks GREAT!!:notworthy: Great idea on bringing your own water as well. That's the "get 'er done" attitude personified.

Thanks everyone for your kind words! I missed having a pressure washer for those wheels. Stop

The client was very happy, here was an email he sent me:

Thank you for the excellent detail service on my Porsche Carrera 4S Cabriolet. Your skill and the pride that you take in your work is evident with every detail, from the interior clearn and seat leather conditioning to the paint conditioning, removal of paint swirls, and wetsanding of clear coat issues. My car hasn't looked this good since it left the factory in Stuttgart! It's satisfying to pay for a service where you get more than expected, and that's what you delivered. Every time I walk toward my car, I smile because of the great care you took in detailing my car. Thanks again!

Bryan,

That must make you feel great, as it should. It's nice to see that there are still some people out there who appreciate a job well done!

Congrats, you deserve the praise.:notworthy:

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! :notworthy:

How many surbuf pads did you use on the car?

How did you clean them "on the fly"?

Did you prime the surbuf pads with product?
