Products with "fillers" - help (Deep Crystal?)

Hi all,

My mate has asked me to clean up his car and sell it for him, as I'm between contracts for a few days.

It's a 95 Corrado VR6 with overall good paint, but 11 years of swirls. I don't mind spendng some time on it, but I don't want to spend too long as I've also got other projects on the go during my "time off".

So, I thought I'd treat the worst areas with ScratchX, and use something with a few fillers to hide the lighter swirls.

Does anyone know if NXT wax contains fillers, or perhaps the Deep Crystal 3 step system?

The reason I mention those is that I can get them tomorrow from my local Halfords.

Anyone ever try the Deep Crystal?

Thanks

Chris

Hi Chris,

Either of those two should do..... NXT does have light cleaners and fillers, as does the step 2 'polish' (which is more of a glaze), which should do some filling too.

If you can wait an extra day then go for something like Prima Amigo Polymer filling glaze, or either Clearkote Vanilla Moose wax or Red Moose Glaze.

Cheers.

Alex.

IMO the Deep Crystal step #2 is a somewhat inferior version of the Meg's "pure polishes". I'd use #3/#5/#7/#81 instead if you can find one of those.

And yeah, as Alex Creasey said, the pure polish and NXT will work to some extent and you can use them both for a little synergy.

NXT hides minor marring, but not years of neglect (IMHO).

Have you considered Autoglym Paint Renovator followed by SRP? Shouldn't take too long with these products. (I'm guessing you don't have to be doing this by hand...)
