Products to use on Pontiac G8 interior?

Just picked up my new daily driver, a G8 with the leather/sports package...Ive never really come across the type of leather / dash material in this car...wondering what to use for dressing. I traditionally use Poorboys leather stuff and Poorboys natural look dressing/Meguiars quick interior detailer...I know theres a ton of products you can't go wrong with, just wondering if anyone had first hand experience on this type of interior.

If you haven't used them yet, this could be a good time to try out the Ultima interior products. Their Interior Shampoo and the Interior Guard Plus. I use the interior guard and love it. It's 10 times better than anything I've used, and really does work. 303 Protectant is the other thing I'd use, but I'd suggest picking up the 4 oz of IGP and see if you like it.

Funny, I just logged on to pose the same query re: a G6.

What do you find to be the best cleaner for this "plasticky leather" and hard plastic?

I've been using Simple Green to clean, and used up a bottle of ICE interior cleaner to clean/dress.

Well the ICE sucks balls IMO.

My GF got the car a couple of weeks ago, and it's ready for it's first major detail.

I've been using a FourStar products on my customer details, but it has a bit too much sheen for me.

We are smokers:sosad and anything glossy attracts ashes like a crematory.

Also, on the interior seat fabric (no pile) what extractor style/setting would work best without soaking the foam?

Thanks.

Hmm I have a leather "sport" package ( its not a sports car but it has a spoiler so they called it that lol) Its a Aveo LT...its ok it was cheaper but good, and has a little pick and go also.

Anyways I used Turtle Wax with a terry clothe towel. I just sprayed it in smaller areas bc it drys kind of fast i think. I dont really like it though. Im think I might try to find something else that works pretty good. Any suggestions?

Clean with woolite/water 10:1 mix, FK 108 for dash, Four Star Leather conditioner for leather

i've also heard good things about the laundry version of woolite diluted...:woot:

On the textured G8 dash I have found the best thing to use is just simply a microfiber cloth spritzed with Meg's QID. I use Griot's Leather Care on my seats as it dries clear on the perforations and works well on the grainy texture of the bolsters. I found the arm rest to be weird as it has a rubbery feel.

I tried the Poorboys Leather Stuff on my car last weekend, but its sucha rubbery/weird textured leather that it was hard to get it to spread...maybe its just the nature of the beast.

My Forester XT leather was so smooth that a few dabs of Leather Stuff could be worked in all over easily...Im thinking about a spray leather conditioner to make it easier for the G8 considering how much Leather Stuff I had to go through for just the back seats Im due for a new bottle of something soon anyway.

I still need help lol, now I bought a few products to test out...first I tried Poorboys Leather Stuff, didn't seem to do much for the leather...so I moved onto 1Z Leather Care, was ok but the white cream gets into the perforations and takes time to clean it out. I also tried Optimum leather protectant in the spray bottle,...but its tough to control cause if any of the spray bounces its tough to get it to look even.

The leather is so grippy and rubbery feeling...I just bought Zaino Z10 that Id like to try....but Ive never had to deal with such grabby leather, kinda makes it hard to wipe in evenly.
