Product suggestion (slightly ot)

Wax Waster
I need to clean the tile in my shower..................

So I can put on a new soap holder etc.

The grout is dark grey/off black.

Any suggestions on what products to use to get it clean, stripped and without staining the grout? The floor of the shower is fiberglass, so that leaves out anything caustic.

Diluted APC would work great to do the initial clean as for the PP not staining the grout do a small test spot with a q-tip in a spot you don't look and see what happens but if you be careful the tile will polish up great with the PP.

Ron i had some stuff from my plumbing supply house that was the best i had ever used, i will try and find the name for you. Also if you try lowes and go to the tile dept. they have some heavy hitting stuff there thats not with there regular cleaning supplies.

A Dirtex solution, mix to dark yellow, spray on, let it soak in grout (it will), scrub with upholstery brush, rinse well.

Di-limonene or cleaners with this as the primary component. Goo Gone is a RTU citrus based clean, I also keep a gallon of That Orange Stuff (organic) for diluting. Do use caution for your skin when using as it is powerful stuff.

After doing some research on heavy water spots for our old shower doors, this was the only product that worked and worked well. To date I use it on windows for detailing when I get real crappy water spots

well if your bold you can take some standard wheel cleaner , the ol school hydro choleric acid, mix 50/50 with water, put in sprayer bottle and a micro fiber towel, spray solution on the towel not the tile. rinse with a solution of baking soda mixed with water..this will then neutralize the surface. this solution is also good for removing acid rain on a cars surface prior to buffing.

My vote is for Poorboy's APC. It has been very helpful in cutting thru the grit for me on stains all over the house, on tile, and other spots that were tough.
