Product Review: Pre-Wow & Black Wow

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this line of products? They make a polish/sealant, leather conditioner, QD spray, etc.

I only have experience with the leather conditioner and think that it's great. :up

Just wondering about the other stuff in their line-up??

Body shops like the sealant because it is safe and easy to apply. I have some of the Race Glaze QD I bought to just try and like it for right after washing. It has a nice gloss factor it seems to add to the paint and was reasonably priced. I would buy it again since I can get it locally.

Thanks for the input, guys. I also like the fact that this product line is available locally.

I gave a review on the Race Glaze leather conditioner, located in the Product Reviews section. I was pleasantly surprised - nice stuff.:up

Never tried the products but I did notice last weekend that the local "Everything Is A Dollar." store got a whole shipment of the stuff in. I didn't buy any because the smell was rough smelt like nail polish removed and sour milk mixed together!

Wow, that sounds like that stuff stunk really bad!! I can't believe that you were able to find it at a Dollar Store, that's something.

Which Race Glaze Product(s) did they have? Was it the Polish/Sealant that smelled so bad?

Pre-Wow & Black Wow Review

Manufacturers Description:

-Pre-Wow: Pre-WOW is extremely concentrated. Start with a pea-sized amount on a clean applicator. Wipe on Pre-WOW and rub until the trim piece appears clean. For stubborn spots, you can use the Pre-WOW Trim Detailing Brush. The stiff bristles will loosen dirt and wax buildup.

-Black Wow is a matte finish trim restorer for all colored, smooth and lightly textured trim. Black Wow instantly restores the dark, even color to the trim. A single thin coat lasts for months through rain storms, car washes, and day-to-day driving. Black WOW works on all unpainted plastic trim, regardless of the color. Black WOW contains no dye or colorants.

Notes & Observations:

- I need to find better test subject to test the true cleaning ability of Pre-Wow
- Pre-Wow did seem to clean up the bumper that I regularly clean and apply PBTR.
- I?m not sure that Pre-Wow cleans any better than my regular APC but I would want to test this on a piece of trim with wax residue.
- I do like that Black Wow was a little thicker syrup and not watery like PB TR.
- A pea sized amount was able to all of the test sections.
- It spread out nicely and evenly.
- Black Wow was slightly shinier that the PBTR that I normally use.
- Based on cost I?m not sure I would pick Black Wow as my trim product.
o 2oz Black Wow - $15.99
o 16oz Poorboy?s Trim Restorer - $14.99
o At this price difference the Black Wow would need to last about 8x longer than PBTR for me to switch.

Looks interesting. I'm a big fan of PBTR, so I'm also curious how it will work with Pre-WOW. Keep us posted.

Thank you Troy for your write-up on the Wow Twins. Let us know how the bumper turns out later down the road.

Thanks for the comment guys.

I am currently try to gather all of my information for the test I am running comparing BW, PBTR, & 303. So far I am very surprised with the result. In the 3 days since application it has rained here and car has been driven. Definitely a good torture test.

Thanks for great test! I've been happy with BlackWow in my limited experience.
