Product Organization /// What`s your bottle source

I`m a :wall
In my quest on clean and pristine, I`m more a purger than a hoarder....
Everything that is unused, get`s tossed.

Who ever knew plastic jugs can be that much (when you factor in total cost of shipping)...

My go to sprays are 24oz bottles HDPE with Tolco Spray Heads.
Shampoo bottles are PET just because I like to see pretty colors. Too bad both of my current go to shampoos - one is clear, and one is just opaque/milky clear.

Small bottles are more just bird bombs mixes. I used the 8 oz bottles with fine mist sprayers.
I`m sorta spoiled by some of these sampler bottles with the itty bitty trigger sprayer heads on them.
I do like the profile of the boston round bottles as it fits in any car door.

All I use is USP as a bottle supplier.

Kurious. What are you bottle sources/trigger sprayer sources...

I use AG sprayers on bottles I get from Kroger, that come on SPARKLING ICE flavored waters. They hold 17 oz., are about 2" round, clear, easily removed labels. The waters are good, so we buy them often...about $1.00 per. The size / shape of the bottle makes it real easy to handle. Sparkling Ice

Nice. How did that poster do those labels.

I`m currently planning on shuffling on of my drawers that hold tools and put all bottles into the drawer. I will need to redo the labels on the trigger sprayers so I can ID the product by just looking down into the drawer and seeing the ID is ontop of the trigger handle.

The labels in your pic is very nice - OE....my kinda thing. Do post more deets if you have on how that was achieved. I suppose some sort of clear sticker label printed off a inkjet.

Here are a couple companies that I found.

I got this idea from a post on Detailing World forum in Europe. I am in the process of duplicating this.

I have seen that thread before and it is really good. I even bought one of those Stanley rolling stations for when I go mobile.

Be careful using clear bottles. I have read that if they are clear they aren`t HDPE plastic and will eventually fail with any strong chemical. They are fine with detail sprays and waterless washes, but I wouldn`t use them for degreasers, APC`s, or wheels cleaners.

Clear is PET. My shampoos are pet -- see the OP....

I did a test eons ago. Pet plastic - straight APC undiluted. Left it alone for a year.
Bottle was fine. Did not exhibit-show any breakdown...

Heh heh, what I use would mortify most autopians :o Old bottles and sprayers all mismatched and awful-looking. As long as it fits/sprays the way I want/doesn`t leak I`m satisfied. Most not even labeled as I know what`s in `em.

But yeah...US Plastics is a great source (continued thanks to Bill D for turning me on to them).

using carpro 32oz pet bottles and nanolex 16oz pet bottles. they seem to be holding up well for whatever liquid is in them.

i`m still up in the air about what trigger sprayer i want to use. tolco greys are the best obviously but they are boring. i liked the triggers that came with nanolex but they leaked quite a bit.

I literally at one point had like 40+ Meg. bottles on deck. Hated the look. Too big - 32/36 oz, etc, etc.

I`m really a minimilist@heart. But fashion@funtion.

Tolco 320`s are the best triggers IMO.
I`ve had other ~grey~ triggers from unknown brand. There is a night/day difference when you use it and when you`re accustomed to a Tolco. Both in mist as well as the trigger pull/feel/reaction-feedback.

I don`t know sch1t about photoshop but I`m really loving post #3
Off to google that thread on DW

On the 24`s they do have dilution rates both on oz/ml.
My APC mix : I have all them marked with how many ML per rate and out comes the beakers...
Yeah, I know, how precise and scientific ;-)

As while I have like 4 mixes of APC, 3 are like garage queens and the one bottle I really use is just the 1:32

DB, based on your pic, I presume some level of aesthetics are in play....
Anyhow, here goes for 24oz

It`s a perfect mix for me. 16 seems too small and anything above 24 just feels bulky

I would have never guessed you would do such a thing!

don`t like the 32oz meguiars either but they have dilution ratio and match nicely

I`m not big on the size of them, but LOVE the dilution ratio markings. I bought four specific bottles along with gallon sized products (glass cleaner, hyper dressing, wheel cleaner, ...whoops. Make that three!). I like the colors as I just grab them without thinking twice as to what`s in them.

They also fit VERY nicely in my Husky bag that I`m using for my wheel cleaning supplies. Speaking of which....(posting new thread)

Yeah, sorta surprises me too! Just the way it worked out and for some reason it doesn`t bother me the way I myself would`ve expected.

Eh, my QDs/SprayWaxes are in nice, clean product-logo bottles though.

re: post #3
My searching sucks. Anyone care to either link or PM me the threadlink
TIA

He used Avery clear labels and downloaded the images of the label from google images. Here is how he answered.

I used the Avery software for the template. The label packaging should have the relevant code on the front. I then imported the logos from what I`d saved and adjusted in photo editing software.

If you do a search on Google images that should give you what you are looking for.

Hope this helps,
Mike

I`m still in the Stone Age. My label maker is a permanent magic marker, except for the Meg`s bottles. I`m still trying to find good sprayers that allow me to mist similar to the ones sold by Polish Angel. Anyone know who supplies Polish Angel?
