First, let me say this site is full of information. Might even be too much information.

I need some help...I have a 2009 meteor gray A4 and am looking for recommendations on wax / sealants. I will be applying all products by hand. On my previous A4 I used a combination of Omega Glaze and Blitz carnuba wax. However, after reading through this site there appear to be better longer lasting options. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks

Here is my procedure for my 1995 Audi 90:

Detailing - 4 Steps:

Proper Auto Care recommends:

Step 1 - BLACKFIRE PolyClay II with BF Lubricant

Step 2 - Menzerna PO106FF Polish using the White pads

(Polish)

Step 3 - Menzerna Finishing Touch Glaze using the Black pads

(Glaze)

Step 4 - Menzerna Full Molecular Jacket using the Red pads

(Seal)

Hello!

What you do before the sealant/wax will make more difference the then the sealant or wax on its own. However, for your colour i suggest DoDo Supernatural!

If u run a search on my name u can see my grey Lancer in three different shoots with that on.

Polishes depend on the condition of the paint, however that said, I've always used Menzerna on German paints for a long time with excelent results.

For LSP, I now use Zaino since it seems to give me the best results and long lasting protection. I really like the new Zaino Z8 "Grand Finale" QD spray for that extra punch and wow factor.

All LSP's really are a personal matter in the way you view the finish. Once you find the "look" you're after, then it comes down to how long it will last.

There are other sealants and waxes up the wazoo, it's just too subjective to say what's best.

As for me, with a black C2S, Zaino fits my bill. Enjoy your new A4!!

I am with Deanski, Zaino, although some may say pricey, the ease of use is superb, the longevity is second to none, and the look is glossy and wet. If you are desiring something to make your Gray "pop" try zaino Z5, after polishing with Menzerna polish, and top with Z8. You will love your finish. To keep the look, just wash once a week, and top with Z8. There you go. Of course this is opinion, I am sure your tastes are not identical to mine, so check out the "before and after" page on the forums and see the looks of different combos. Some LSP's give a muted ultra warm and wet look say from a caranuba, others will be blindingly shiny...One more thing, the way your LSP will look will be 90% prep!

Try the ZCS, apply and walk away, no buffing off!

Prep, the ZAIO gives a great shine and makes the finish ready for any Zaino applications. As always, use Z6 between coats as Zaino can be layered.

Z5-Pro or Z2-Pro with ZFX although more time consuming, look fantastic!

Zaino has to be applied very very thin, otherwise you'll get streaking.
