"preventing" waterspots?

Hey guys, I did a search on this but could not find anything that fast. There are a lot of topics on how to remove waterspots but my question is: Is there a wax or polish that prevents waterspots? Or at least makes it easier to remove them? I own a black clearcoat mustang and use zaino now but that doesn't really help.

Thanks

No.

Any wax or sealant will to some small extent but when the water contains corrosive compounds and/or lots of minerals there’s no stopping it. The best you can do is keep it waxed and get any spots off ASAP.

PC.

I'm in the same boat as this year I don't have a garage to keep my vehicle inside, so summer showers to unaimed sprinklers have attacked my finish.

Your finish is black, which is probably hell to keep from etching in bright sunlight. Aside from parking in the shade (and risking sap :( ), you could try using a car cover or just QD'ing very often.

Thanks for your answers,

The person or company that will invent a waterspot free wax is gonna be rich $$$$

Durashine made that claim. Sheet water instead of beading. Had the scary water bead-turned-magnifying glass that made your paint collapse "demo" during ther infomercials!

Some companies make shampoos that sheet water off so as to minimize water spotting.

I can't remember how well Durashine worked at reducing water spots. All I can remember was that it didn't seem to do much for the looks of the paint, and it didn't seem to fill me with confidence that it was even still on the paint after a couple weeks.
