Pretty hammered Honda S2000

Got the email saying my car is not up to par, and needs some help...YES IT DID!!!

Results were night and day! Lots of left over wax/polish residue all over the car That I ended up spending an hour on in the end...it was really stubborn and caked on! I got most of it off, but really could have spent another hour+ removing emblems and deep cleaning them. Overall, it was time well spent.

here are the before shots and the test section to figure out a good process:

Process was 105 on orange, 203 on white, poli-seal on black. I had MAJOR issues getting the 203 off the paint. I have no idea what the problem was, but no matter how much QD or alcohol I used, it wouldn't remove easily without a lot of "scrubbing with a MF towel". I had to use a lot of CG EZCG just to remove the 203. After finally removing the 203 from the car, I tried using 85rd...same situation, so I stopped after two panels. I cant even begin to tell you how pissed off I was, or what the issue was for the life of me! anyone? all this with the PC! paint was super soft no doubt, but even on JB BMWs or black Porsche's, I've never had this problem.

Here are the afters from 10 hours of work!

yeah thats what took over an hour all around the car...the entire car had stubborn residue in them...some of it wouldnt budge with degreaser, APC, IPA, QD, clay, etc...I threw everything I had at some of it! Even took a toothpic to get as much as I could reach!

oh yeah, those afters are before my final wipe downs and crevice cleanings. This was the first car I could get some good sun shot afters in a long time, so I wanted to make sure I did! I saved teh wheels and the final clean up for AFTER the afters...

That car was hammered. Is the Honda S2000 known for having soft paint? I have a friend that has a black S2000 and his car looks like a Federally Protected Swirl Refuge.

I own a Berlina Black S2000 as well and all of my friends that own one and detail cars say it is some of the softest OEM paint they've seen. Eric after seeing this I definitely need you to work on my car! I'll be in touch in the next week or so. :)

sounds like a plan!

paint was really soft! the slightest touch with a towel in direct sun would scratch it! I had to keep adjusting the position of the car to keep it out of the sun all day
