My Karcher just recently died (R.I.P.) 1600 psi model, just wondering what are some other descent pressure washers out there besides Karcher......I read allot reviews on Karcher and 9 out of 10 were negative reviews.....I'm not looking for a super power washer....somewhere between 1600 and 2000 any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Which model did you have?

The newer K5 series are supposed to be better but still see reports of issues.

I have been using the Karcher K3.48M now for several years without issue. Really nice little cleaner.

When it comes time to replace the unit, however, I think I am going to stick with Karcher and run the K5.40 unit. It seems to have taken some features over from their commercial line like the water cooled motor and pump to help it run longer.

It also has some nice features like quick connect for the hoses, and a hose storage reel on the top of the unit. Nice win win situation if you ask me.

I was originally going to go for the commercial cold water unit, but now I do not think I will.

Bunky.......I might stick with the Karcher...I have the intro model....1600 PSI. I might go with the 1800 psi and purchase it at Wal-Mart, since they do have a great return policy i can always return it, I find using pressure washer on wheel wells and rims makes my job a bit easier when detailing........thanks my friend

I would NEVER buy another Karcher, ever, ever.......ever lol If I were given one it would get sold.

I had 3 go out, with regular maintenance. I've been on my Subaru Motor/CAT pump for 2 years now with ZERO issues. If You're going for a daily, semi weekly, pro use, get a model that will take it. For home use, rarely used, I GUESS Karcher will do...lol.

I own a Kranzle. My justification was for a little more than the price of two Karcher K5's (likely need two eventually) I could get the Kranzle. It is built like a tank and felt it would last.

My first experience was with my inlaws Karcher K2. It sprung a leak (cracked plastic elbow). I was able to repair myself by ordering the part so then I was leery of the cheaper ones since it was so flimsy (fall over, plastic threads on connections, etc). The reviews were never stellar.

Plus 1 on the Kranzle. The quality of this machine is top notch. You get what you pay for. No comparison to the Karcher's
