Pressure washer for shop.

Good day !

I have just opened a shop around six months ago for detailing, and have been using a regular hose for cars, trucks, and vans, and then using a big `easykleen` 4000psi for John Deere and transport trucks. I have recently started using a cheap electric pressure washer i already had from home (simoniz 1700 psi) for cars and trucks but I know the motor isn`t meant for industrial use OR being used as much as I use it at work.. it feels cheap and the nozzle already stops working some times.

I`d like to know if there are electric pressure washers that are medium duty and meant to be used a lot and can last some time, or if I need to go gas 2200 psi or something. I don`t mind the gas bill, but does any one know how much a decent one goes for and anything about maintenance? I`m sure I need to buy oil and that but how often and what other maintenance needs to be done? Any help is appreciated! thanks!

Go gas, they will be much more reliable and save you money in the long run. How it should be maintained is entirely up to the manufacturer.

I have run the same Devilbiss gas motor 2gal/min. pressure washer for over 10 years and it has only had one issue that I fixed myself..

The Briggs and Stratton motor only requires a spark plug an air filter, and I change the engine oil about once a year.. I broke it in correctly so it never even uses oil between changes..

You never have to change the pump oil unless it leaks out or something..

I have never seen or heard of an electric motor pressure washer that is really heavy duty and can last for years with hard hours..
