Pressure washer fitting question

Looking for help finding a replacement stainless pressure washer quick connect fitting.

Just received my BOSS Foam Gun, but found out the fitting they provided doesn’t fit my Ryobi pressure washer wand. Long term I’m planning on upgrading the hose/wand like Zach discusses in his thread, but short term I just need to make it work with the factory setup.

The problem:

You can see where the fitting is too deep, preventing it from locking into the wand.

The problem I’m running into looking online is that so many places don’t have good straight side views of the fitting, and no one has any measurements to compare to. I don’t want to order a $7 fitting, wait 5 days for it to show up and be wrong. The other challenge is that I’d like to get a stainless fitting to match the gun, since i don’t know how long term this will be.

I had the same problem. If you are wanting a fitting that is the same as the 15 (yellow). PM me your info and I’ll send one out to you.

They just told me hardware store. Tried the True Value by my work, no joy.

Hopefully they’ll be adding this style fitting to their inventory; can’t imagine others won’t run into this as well.

I get my fittings from Amazon. Fortunately I planned to replace all my old ones so now they are all the same style and luckily all the tips I have still fit. For just one, head over to Home Depot and bring those two with you to test in store. You`ll need a quarter inch male threaded connection to replace the one from Griots.

I have never tried to buy as a civilian from McMaster. I have purchased from Grainger, MSC, Fastenal and several other places as a civilian. All the industrial supply places tend to price the products high to give room for the rep to appear to give a big discount.

You can buy from Grainger. Bring $$,though.

Yeah, the pricing at Grainger and MSC has gotten crazy, at my work we had pretty much zero luck getting a discount from Grainger, MSC was easy but it varied hugely from product to product. McMaster pricing also seems to have been going up, I don`t know if they are doing the discount thing if you ask. It doesn`t seem like a good strategy to show a high price on your website only to knock it down with your rep, when everybody is internet shopping today. Why waste time waiting for your rep to come back with a price when you can just order it at Amazon?

Sorry I got off-topic.

Almost the opposite here, Grainger offers us the largest discount across the board, the others all tend to have niche items that they will do better on. If you are doing a substantial volume, the reps are very responsive, usually under 30 minutes I have a quote in my inbox.

Thanks all for the recommendations. I ended up cheating and taking Vanquish up on his generous offer.

I forgot about options like McMaster Carr, etc. Did a little bit of looking, definitely a bigger investment that way vs trying out an Amazon option. One thing from all the searching, you start to wonder how many people are actually making the fittings that everyone sells...

Havent tried in-store at any of the big box hardware stores, but haven’t seen anything listed on their sites.

Does anyone one have any experience with the quick connect adapters for the Ryobi/Sun Joe/Greenworks style hoses? Saw Home Depot listed the style fittings Zach had in his write up that I think he got from MTM Hydro.
