Great job. I really need to pick up some Blackfire.

If I had to have one car, that ranks right up there, not crazy expensive like the turbo, but all the goodies you could want. Keep up with the posts, you get to work on some sweet cars.

Beautiful work once again Pres. Don't you love it when the first guy tells a friend and the second guy tells 2 friends and the 3rd guy tells 4 friens etc, etc. ?

Yes you do! Blackfire is by far the best LSP I have used yet, both the sealant AND paste wax are amazing! My dream car is a 964 turbo or a carrera rs of the same era in Meritime Blue. ;)

Nice Job Billy!

thanks! ;)

Man... that car makes "showroom" a dirty word... GREAT job!

Wifey's had two Porsches, both silver... she's traditional that way. I'm kinda fond of silver myself, for a Porsche, but the blue looks so cool.

Haha, thanks! Porsche wishes they could sell a car that looked that good! ;) Ive become fond of silver as well(my truck is silver) but if I were to ever purchase a Porsche it would be a weekend toy and it would have to stand out a bit more than silver. ;)

Very nice work..... what was you process on the clearbra area of the car??

Thanks

I was wondering the same thing. A lot of people are not fond of detailing interiors, which I actually totally enjoy. The clear bra, on the other hand, is not my fave thing to deal with. I guess my mind goes to, "This is a mystery, wrapped in an enigma" when it comes to clear bras. I've researched the subject quite a bit on the internet naturally but there doesn't seem to be a concensus for dealing with them.
Quite honestly, I'm scared to death of the idea of laying a polisher on one. I usually use a very mild polish, hand applied, followed by wax, being mindful to tape off the edges. Or, just a QD if the thing's in good shape.

Thanks!:)

The clear bra that was used on this car, you are ONLY supposed to use Plexus, your not even supposed to wax it supposedly. It is made by ventureshield and so far Ive worked on several vehicles with this film(currently only man. local who supplies a FULL hood film. It does not last very long and you cant really do anything about it. There are other bras however that you can actually polish using a machine. Its best to figure out what you can and cant for each particular bra and ask the owner what it has or who applied it and then just call the person who installed it for more info.

Thanks Pres... good info!

Quite a few owners I've dealt with have secondhand cars and don't know the origins of the bra. That's why I tread lightly around those things.
