Im sure your thinking what can you do to a brand new 2009 WHITE Mercedes with only 5k miles on it?? Well, believe it or not, there is still a big difference to be made! As well as needed a good clay bar session to remove the fallout, the owner confessed to running the car through an automatic car wash twice and he paid the consequence. With only two washes, there were some very deep scratches as well as some surface swirls. The owner wanted these removed so that he could have a perfect swirl free car before applying a new clear-bra to the car.

The car how it arrived, while it looked clean, it still needed some cleaning. ;)

I was thankful for the full glass roof! ;)

In the sun, you can clearly see the defects, although it was hard to capture with the camera, let alone look at in the blaring sun!

Here is an example of one of the deeper scratches from the carwash.

And another. It may not look too bad, but trust me it was deep!

For the final wash, I looked up and realized I had a helper so I took a couple shots of him in action as well. :) He was pretty tame, letting me get within a foot from him before he even moved.

And since we live in FL, it can be bright and sunny one moment, and then this can happen with no warning. Unfortunately, the customer had to drive it home in the pouring rain.

Looks great! I also follow your work on 8th as well...

I have a question about your space! Is that a storage facility? No storage facility will let me work out of their units LOL! I'd love to find a simple place to work like that...

Looks great. Did you use another polish after 105? The pics of 105 with PFW pad look great I was just curious. Also sorry to see the customer had to drive it in that rain, you have to love FL

billy glad to see you finally got a helper! nice car man. i love white cars they look so nice cleaned up by the right person! great job!

Looks like the Meguiar's W66 SOLO backing plate. Very much like the 3m backing plate but in 5.75" diameter. I also use it with PFW.

Thanks, actually the landlord of the complex didnt want any "detailers" in ths one either, but I was able to convince them that I was not your ordinary detailer and I do not do high volume, just a couple cars a week for a couple days each! ;)

Yes, sorry I forgot to mention that. I used M105 on a LC FLAT White pad via G110 DA. the car was then sealed with Opti-Seal which was left to cure overnight and then two coats of Dodo Juice Supernatural. ;)

Looks good Billy. Do you work out of Proven Power in Temple Terrace often?

I have actually struck up a relationship with Darrel and his father and I will soon be splitting the audio side of the shop and running my business out of there. Have you been there before?

Man that rain is really coming down, that sucks. Hey at least the owner got to see the water beading and running off like crazy though right?

Great job!

Do you have a shop? I'm going to be attending University of South Florida in about a month and i was hoping that there would be a place to pick up some detailing supplies in Tampa.

Classic Motoring Accessories(aka Proper Auto Care) is a local supplier. I do have a shop in Tampa not too far from USF, but I do not carry products for sale.
