Presidential Detailed: 2005 Porsche 911 Turbo S

This is one of my dream cars, the GT3 RS being my top dream car. ;) This car was very well kept and had all the options including the ceramic composite brakes. Nothing short of an amazing car! Unfortunately a rotary was put into the wrong hands and let loose on this unfortunate 911 Turbo! There were crazy amounts of holograms and swirls in the paint, which needed to be removed ASAP.

The owner was nice enough to deliver the car clean. This is not how he generally leaves the car, but it had just rained and he knew I would be taking care of it.

I performed an ONR wash inside due to the extreme heat and direct sunlight.

I was amazed at how quickly these bird droppings etched into the paint and even more amazed that it was completely removed with little effort of the rotary.

Remember that other detailer? Here was his idea of a good job.

My test panel after SIP/PFW followed by M205/Orange.

50/50.

After SIP/PFW via rotary. Shows just how soft Porsche paint can be.

After M205/Orange via DA.

I was in a bit of a rush so I unfortunately did not get any during shots of the sides of the car, but trust me they were just as bad as the front. I did manage to get some shots of the rear of the car being completed.

The trunk portion was carefully taped off to ensure every panel was corrected.

Stellar work, man! :bow It still astonishes me how lazy other 'detailers' can be to just cover up holograms and not even bother to finish down their work properly.

Thankfully, people like us are here to help.

The sad part is that they most likely either dont know they are even doing it or that they are even doing anything wrong! Its usually the dealerships.

Fantastic work, as usual! I'm guessing the owner is the guy with the s***-eating grin on his face.

BTW, it was great to meet you at Garry's on Saturday, and thanks for answering all my noob questions. Enjoy all the goodies you took home!

Mike.

That black is totally glowing, awesome work! :D

I know how much that wing sucked to polish; did you do it by hand or were you able to somehow get a buffer pad in there?
