Preparing for winter (synthetic products)

Hello, I'm from canada and where I live winter is not far away.

I read somewhere that its wise to apply synthetic wax/polish as it will hold up better

in the harsh winter.

Wondering what synthetic product i should apply?

thnx

I've been using Zaino which holds up well through the winter. I top it with wax when it's warm enough.

This year I'm trying Poorboy's EX-P with Natty's on my Jeep.

Most of your responses will probably be Colonite 845 Insulator Wax. Great durability, protection, looks, and ease of use. If you have the time you can use a sealant underneath that such as Jeff Werkstatts AJ for additional durability and looks.

I'd recommend Klasse, Collinite, Duragloss, Zaino, or Jeff Werkstatt's.

What I plan on doing this winter is probably 3x DG105+ 1x Collinite 476S, with AW wipedowns whenever possible during the bitter NE winter :)

edit: I just wanna say that not all synthetic products are more durable than carnaubas. Collinite is a prime example of a carnauba that protects very nicely and is right on par with sealants.

DG #105 x2 topped with 476s, with another coat in the middle of snow season.

I get the worst weather, lots of road salt, gravel, and freezing temps. This combo holds up great.

I wouldn't use EX-P for winter protection. Been there, done that. Didn't last long at all.

My winter process last year was Zaino Z5pro x 3. It held up like a champ during the harsh Minnesota winter. This year, I will incorporate some ZCS just as some extra protection.
