Poxy Questions

Hello all-


 


I have 2 questions pertaining to HD poxy.


 


1)  Considering the reapplication of poxy a second time to a car that had it applied approx 6 months ago


     Assuming there is no correction / polishing required would you recommend clay mitt prior to reapplication with GG DA?  


 


2)  Considering application for the first time after correction 


     Whats the down side of applying poxy too thick or too liberally with a GG DA aside from the potential of having trouble hand buffing after        30 minute cure time?

Only if the paint needs it--check it with the baggie test--perhaps just some areas may need claying.

I found that when I apply POXY too thick not only is it harder to remove, but that I got streaking.  Gotten to the point I only use about 8-10 pea sized drops (and that's even on the heavy side) for a mid sized car with a GG DA and B&S red pad--it really spreads well.
