It would be a good idea to spend a few more bucks and opt for a better sprayer.

?????? Maybe it's just me, but I can't wash the car with 5 gallons of water on my back (plus the weight of the backpack sprayer), while using one arm to continually maintain the pressure. Yeah, that's what that lever on the left side is for.

VERY dorky for auto work but the backpack Solo sprayer does work OK for spraying Roundup on the fence lines. Think the Nomad is great! (although I wish the one I got from Bargain Outfitters just the other day was only $29 - might have to get a spare . . .)
 
Hmmmm, I have no problem using NRWS with the Nomad (with maybe a gal or 2 sitting on the side for refills), or even my 1 gal spritzer as a pretreater......

Does anyone know where the instructions are on how to do this???? I have been to every page in this thread but the right one. I thought someone had a complete write up on the Ryobi batteries.



I know it was posted on here some where once before but I can not find it. I need to know what wire to soldier to where.

Thats ok.



Hardest thing I had was trying to get the wire to the socket soldiered to the bottom of the battery. I ended up putting it under the card board and taping it on there really well. Works like a charm.
 
This is a great thread and I will be purchasing mine tonight. Did we ever establish if it could be hooked up to a generator or is better just use a powerpack?

I use one of these and they work wonders as they go up to 160psi and clean wheel wells great
 
The cheaper ones are sold out on orange onions website. Anyone know where to find one? The more convenient 18v one is $300, don't want to spend that much.

Look around ebay as I was able to find a brand new fully portable for 150 shipped !!
 
Can anyone tell me how to wire up a battery pack to run one of these things? I know how to solder and have the battery partially opened already but not quite sure. It doesn't matter which way I wire the + and - right?

Thanks for the tip David. I was using my HDFree with pressurized pum sprayer.

This will be so much easier. I don't know why these Nomad people discontinue such a good

Product??? BTW I am addicted to HD Free. IMO it is the best waterless carawash product

In the market.
 
Does anyone that purchased one of these back in the day still have their owners manual?   If someone could scan and email it to me I would really appreciate it.  Happy to pay you for your time as well.  Thank you.
