Post 1 (one) smilie that reflects how your day has gone

from :grrr: to :D

- Surveyed site I am setting up a wireless network. I have to price the components I need to set this up for him.

- Got a Diamond White Pearl Caddy to detail. Should be done with that in less than 4 hrs.

- Working on finishing a website using PostNuke CMS. Also working on tweaking my family website using Mambo.

- Went out with a friend to cheer her up.

:woot2:

- Finally got Win 2003 Server installed on my PIII Dell Optiplex.

- Got clothes prepared for Wednesday Interview

:(

- I am going to have to come out of more $$ because this thing only takes PC100 memory and finding it cheap (even on Pricewatch) is a chore.

- Was supposed to hook up with another Max owner to coach him on using a Rotary and some detailing pointers but the weather was kind of crappy. To be rescheduled.

Installed a wireless adapter for my PC in the basement. Can't undertankd what;s wrong...it says its connected (good to excellent connection status) but i can't access the Internet through any browser ??? I've been messing with it for 2 days !

Been waiting for this digital camera to be on clearance for $200... checking several times a week for the past week. (not to mention that I've had my eye on this camera for over 6 months) All stores had at least 2 in stock. It hit $200 today, i raced to my store, and missed it by under 5 minutes. (talked to the girl that bought it) . So I call all the other stores, and they are somehow all sold out. I've spent a total of over an hour on hold with all the different stores, detaling with the incompetant workers. grrrr

edit: Oh, and I designed a business card that I love, however... I'm trying to get 3 different cards made, the total number of about 1000. Office Max does orders of 250, but they want $70 per 250! All of the online stores are asking about $80 per 1000, but I don't think they'll let me use 2 or 3 different card designs (not sure why though if I design them myself...)

- Both interviews went very well

- Website is back up. Just have to do some tweaks and add a couple of modules

:(

Spent over 6 hours last night writing a VERY good paper for my marketing class, only to find this morning that it will have to be thrown out since I must work with a group, and my group hasn't started yet, but doesn't want to change their topic. (my topic is detialing, theirs is web design) So, now I have to start all over on that project as well. I also have 4 tests (which I'm going to take tonight) and 2 more huge projects due next week.

Also spend the majority of the day on the phone about my ticket / license plate issue, which looks like it will be cleared up.

Very stressful week, but this weekend's expressions will be:

:spot :bigups  :chuckle:

 or :(

I found out from an internship possibility in DC that they had found someone better for the position. I received no reason as to why, but I have emailed the woman in charge for a detailed explanation.

I have an internship lined up so in that realm, I'm okay. However, how many applicants have both a passion for automobiles and government affairs v. how many of the applicants simply needed an internship? I don't want to know that this was a case of "it's who you know."

Bad day, indeed.

:rofl

I found out just how stupid my 15 year old neighbor was today.

I was out wiping down the engine in the Lexo and he was wiping down the interior of his Dad's (now his) previous model TL. He called me over, and asked if I thought my car "could take this in a race". I was modest, said maybe, maybe not. It might be close. He said "but the engine has V-tec". I told him mine was cleaner (damn skippy it was cleaner). He was asking me what kind of wheels to put on his car. I told ihm to leave it stock. The he said he was going to put some "nitro" in it. I called him a three letter word for a pile of sticks, or a ciggarette.

He came to see mine, and he was flipping his keys in his hand after I closed my hood. Retardo Montoban dropped the keys on my pollen covered hood, then wiped the spot. Induced some light, but very visible marring. This is after he told me I should put 20" spinners on the Lexus. I told him the only wheels that were going on this car would be factory 18" Lexus wheels or a set of L-Tuned wheels.

He went back to his car, and turned it on to hear how loud his stock exhaust was. I was talking to my neighbor about lawnwork and he started to rev the shi*t out of the car. I told him to STHU and she (my neighbor) laughed at him with me. I told her he was that three letter word again.

Then he had trouble trying to back the TL up the driveway. I guess I just have a natural nact for driving, while he's an idiot.

And I had to pack all of my detailing gear up into the world's biggest plastic box so I can do my Mom's friend's HEMI Ram this weekend in Baltimore. I don't even know if he's paying me or not.
