Porter Cable White Pad

Can I use the pad that comes with the PC to apply #80 Speed Glaze or should I just pitch in the trash. My local supply store was out of the Mequair polishing pad.

I don't think I'd use it on a show-car put it that way... but the original pad does have it's uses.



It's hardly the same quality as Megs or LC but you can certainly use it. Give it a try and see what you think.



I only used mine once and there was evidence of the sponge tearing away from the backing plate - only very slightly mind you. I'd still have to use it alot more for the foam to really start coming away.

that pad sucks, it actually exploded when I spin dried it. Really. One use and it was on the trash can.

Would I risk marring the surface with it's use? It's a black clear coat.

Yes, or at least it did on my car

I use the PC pad for polishing my windshield. Works well.
