Hi guys,

Long time lurker here, thought I would share some of my work.

I`ve been in the business for some years now, started detailing and prepping luxury yachts back in 2005, and started getting requests for work on cars shortly after that.

Now onto the subject:

The client bought the car used and it had seen a lot of tunnel-washes which is the common way to wash your car here in Denmark, where I`m located.

After giving it a thorough prep wash and decon, the interior was dialled in and the leather surfaces were treated.

It took several compounding hits to correct the rather hard paint on the Panamera, which is considerably harder than on e.g. most 911s. After correction the paint was polished with a yellow Rupes pad and Menzerna 3800 to enhance clarity and gloss.

Both trim and paint was sealed with coatings afterwards, and engine and tires were treated with Sonax Plastic Care for a matte look.

Tools used were mainly Rupes polishers, both DA and Rotary, Meguiar`s and Menzerna compounds and polishes and of course the Scangrip Detailing and Colourmatch lights.

Process:

Severe paint defects evident troughout. The door gives a good picture of the over-all condition of the paint before correction. The defects are lit up with a Scangrip Multimatch 2 on a Scangrip Tripod:

Front door corrected, rear door still to be:

Heavy defects on the roof. Sandings marks, pigtails - you name it. Scangrip Multimatch 2 on Tripod used to show up the flaws:

The Achatgrau Metallic looks wonderful once corrected under the Scangrip ligthing. Multimatch 2 on Wheelstand lighting up the rear door on 50% output:

My client was extremely happy with the outcome.

Many thanks for looking.

Great job Ebbe the car looks great . And what a car! Love the Panamera and that color is sweet!!

Thank you, the Achatgrau Metallic really suits the Panamera. It`s a very popular color around here for Porsches, I just did a Macan in the same color.

Looks great! Very nice work!

Thanks :)
