Porsche Cayenne Turbo and other details. 56k welcome as always!

I thought I was going to be washing a Toyota Tundra but it was replaced with something with a bit more ooomph! Jet black, fully loaded Porsche Cayenne Turbo. 20" wheels and all!



Overall, the paint was in excellent shape, just a few light scratches on one side of the hood and the passenger rear door and Meguiars #9 made quick work of them. Then went over the whole thing with Poorboy's EX-P and then topped it with Pinnacle Souveran.

Got my hands on the Rolls yesterday. Still in great shape since I had polished it with 3Ms Perfect it III Finishing Glaze (Euro version) and waxed with Clearkote's Carnauba Moose in February, then a coat of Meguiars #16 in March. Simply topped it with Pinnacle Souveran. Yes, it is expensive but it makes good paint look liquid like nothing else does.

He also wanted his Escalade waxed. Again, the paint was in great shape. AIO/UPP in December and a coat of NXT in early March. This time, I used Poorboy's EX-P, and just like on black, it left the paint with a real clear wet look. You can really notice the effect down the passenger side.

I never get tired of looking at your work...stunning:bow Im sure its been mentioned before, but what do you use on wheelwells?
 
Now on to a few more. This BMW 740iL is one I wash weekly. I had used the Klasse twins on it in early December then NXT about 6 weeks later (mid January). The paint was still beading this past Monday and felt smooth but not slick. This time, I used the Wolfgang twins. Like usual, easy on and off and excellent results. This is going to be one of my WG durability test vehicles since I see it every week.

I last detailed this Navigator in the fall with Vanilla Moose and Carnauba Moose. Since he likes to go about 6 month between wax jobs, I decided to go with Vanilla Moose as the glaze since I really like how it looks on silver and finish with Poorboy's EX-P.

Last, this is a better picture of the Jaguar S Type that I used Grojet2000 on-which was about 8 weeks ago at this point. It is holding up very well. Still very glossy and noticable slickness. QEW and Quikshine then took the pic. I am really impressed with Grojet, excellent one step product. Not sure how easy it is going to be to get here though.

I wash the entire vehicle including wheels and tires with QEW...except the Rolls and Escalade since he has a pressure washer and water deionizer at both his house and office.



BTW, I use the Eagle tire swipes to apply AA to the tires which gives them a very uniform appearance.
 
Thats a mighty fine upgrade , from a Tundra to a Cayenne! Scott isn't that Rolls huge, I just started one last week I was expecting a good sized car but that thing is huge! I just love the wool carpet they have in them too it's so soft and fluffy. :D Great work Scott!
 
I see you have also been plagued with the BBS-style wheels on a 740iL. Can I assume that they are always black, even when you see them weekly? Awesome work as usual!!

I've just tested one fender with WG pre-polish and sealant then topped with Souveran on the SC430... WOW NICE COMBO!

This combo works well for dark finishes. The WG alone looks very nice. Adding Souveran paste and buffing was just stunning!



Just tried the SURBUFF pads. Interesting. Works well, only complaint was some of the fibers got left on the finish. Maybe I should have washed these first.



Prior to WG I did polish with SFP then Menzerna FP.



Souveran on top of most anything looks good on dark finishes!

The Wolfgang twins plus Souveran is my new favorite combo too. The ease of application puts it ahead of anything out there. I guess I'm just a loyalist, but I prefer Pinnacle Sig. Series for light colored cars. All twinkly and stuff!

Nothing like having a "truck" that will out run a Boxster S (and most other "sports" cars for that matter) at the ring.



Oh yeah...great job Scott. I love the way your black cars look so liquid.

How about how none of the vehicles you detail suck? They are all amazing machines...



Although all the blacks look amazing in their own special way, I like the Bimmer the best. That fender looks soo wettt!



I see you are becoming a big fan of EX-P...Any negatives to this product?



The QEW and Quikshine looks GREAT! Have you tested Quikshine against any other gloss enhancing QD's? IE: 4 Star Gloss Enhancer.



Overall, remarkable work! Keep the pics flowing :D.
 
detailbarn Yeah, the Rolls is huge! It is about as long as his Escalade ESV! The interior is absolutely magnificent! The only thing I don't like is that there is some orange peel. For $328,000 there shouldn't be any.



thinksnow-I hate those 740 BBS style wheels. Whoever designed and approved those, especially on a car that has such horrible brake dust problems, should have to show up at each owner's home and clean the wheels personally each week. Yes, even after just a week, the wheels are black. :angry

Sean-the only real negative to EX-P is that since it is a pretty thick liquid, it takes some practice to be able to apply it thinly and it does tend to dust very lightly on warm, dry days. Very minor points and the look is really nice.



I've tried more QDs than I can remember and I always go back to Quikshine. On that Jag, most of the gloss is from the 8 week old application of Grojet, plus a very good factory paint job! QS at this point only made very minor gloss and slickness improvements since Grojet is holding up so well.
