Porsche Carrera...

This customer has been iffy on having me polish his Porsche for quite some time. He originally came to me almost a year ago asking about it. He had been fed alot of horror stories from people that he knew, that used hack detailers and received shady jobs, and was scared to leave his baby in anyone's hands. Through several meetings, and him spending time with me while I was polishing other customer vehicles, he felt comfortable and finally decided to let me have my way with it, although he about popped his pants when I broke out the sandpaper :D

Here are the results. I have about 20 hours in the paint alone. A lot of wet sandning with 2000 grit, then 3000 grit by hand. Initial cut was M105 rotary with a foam cutting pad. Then M105 rotary with a polishing pad, then 2 passes of M205 on the rotary with a finishing pad. Topped off with M26.

Enjoy...

Nick don't know how to put the words together.
That it a awesome/SWEET /GREAT/FANTASTIC/ Detailing job you have done there:eek:

I need to come and take some lessons from you :)

Awesome!!

Great job there Nick!! Your love and passion for detailing really shows here. I also like your camera choice!! :)

Thank you sir, I'm still getting used to all the settings on this camera. Big jump from all my previous "point and shoot" type cameras. Lately I've just decided to shoot everything in RAW mode, and get all the settings right afterward when I can actually see the picture in something larger than a 2.5" LCD screen :D

Awesome finish Nick. Thanks for sharing your work.

I'm very partial to black probably because I own that color but when done like a mirror like that it's always very impressive. I'm guessing you earned a new customer. He must've been very impressed.

Oh yes, he was very happy. Like I said earlier, he waited almost a full year because he was terrified of getting a hack job. All of his friends were filling his head with horror stories about buffer swirls, and burning through the paint and things like that. When he picked up his car, we spent the better part of about 2 hours, with him just walking around the car, smiling. We talked for a while, and he said that he was kicking himself in the butt for not doing this sooner :D

I saw this thread originally on MOL, and I am so glad you posted it here, so I could comment. Stunning work, as usual!
